Linux Lite Kernel
onur:
Was there an NVIDIA "proprietary tested" driver available for you?  That is what I usually go with.

Jerry:
I see the kernel was just released Jan 10th and you got a Linux Lite version available the same day.  Thanks for the quick turnaround.

Same day turnaround is easier now with the new workstation, eg. 64bit kernel images take just under 30mins to build Smile

I remember you saying that before, but I don't think many people would blame you for waiting a day and not doing that on a Sunday.  Because you did anyway, I want to say thanks.

Does the new 4.4 kernel contain the "overlayfs" module which is required for Systemback to create "Live Images"

According to the Arch Wiki, overlayfs has been in the kernel since 3.18

mmm..

I must have an odd situation...
It was not in 4.2, hence why Systemback would not create "Live" images
I do not have my friends NUC anymore,
Need to see if Systemback will create a "Live" image on 4.4

May pay to talk to the Systemback dev about this Dave. He'd have a better idea.

@Jerry,

I have already had "8" exchanges with the Systemback dev.. We pinned it down to lack of overlayfs.

If I search for overlayfs, it's in 3.13 , But not in 4.2.0/4.3.0, They apparently need patches adding.
I found this when installing LL on friends NUC, and needed 4.20

Here is my exchange: https://answers.launchpad.net/systemback...ion/278875

I do not have anything with 4.20 ~ 4.30
I suspect Systemback will currently not work for anybody with those kernels on LL, and now possibly 4.4

Just upgraded to 4.4.0. All works well so far. Just the Control Center won't display the RAM anymore  :-\
