Linux Lite 2.8 Suggestion Thread
#21
Quote:This install was on a 10.1" netbook, and the new Control Center is too big for the screen. I think I found the bottom of it by hiding the Panel, but that is not a good solution, as there are smaller screens than this one.

Owning 3, 9 inch netbooks. Alt+Left click on touchpad is your friend on that.
On the taskbar buttons. I use the kokodi theme for  close x buttons easy to see.
But then. Mine never keep the stock look. Ever.

The default layout is the 1st thing to fly out the window for me.

LL 3.6,2.8
Dell XT2 > Touchscreen Laptop
Dell 755 > Desktop
Acer 150 > Desktop
I am who I am. Your approval is not needed.

That alt-click is a good tip. Will remember. Thanks.

I too use a netbook as 1 of my devices - and the Control Center is large. The welcome screen fits perfectly.
If it could be adjustable or auto fits the resolution with a scroll bar.

Heres what it looks like with the panel hidden.

Can you tell me your exact screen size (in pixels). I'm currently testing something that would resize for users with limited screen space. Not sure we want to completely enable resizing at this time. But can resize the window accordingly for users. So if you can please share the size with me, and I can begin testing.
The Truth is out there.
Be sure to check the Manual out and always report Bugs or feature requests.

To Monkeyman,

Choose a different Window Manager style if you don't like the gray dots.  You can still keep the Dark-Reloaded style for your Appearance settings.

My 10.1" was 1024 x 768. Same rez holds true for the 8.9" netbooks I've seen.

Resolution on my 12" laptop is 1366x768.

Thanks.  That fixed it.  I thought both Windows and Appearance themes had to be the same.

The maximum screen resolution on this old Acer aspire One is only 1024X600 that is the main reason I use an external monitor, that and my eyes not being what they used to be.  Smile
