[SOLVED] WINE Will not install on Linux Lite 2.2 64 Bit
#1
First of all hello. I am a new user to Linux Lite and i am enjoying it alot. I installed the 32bit on my old Dell Inspirion 6000 and i been having a fun time with it. I had no problem install the updates or anything and getting wine to install. But on my HP 2000-2b19wm i install Linux Lite 2.2 64 Bit and it has been problems central. The install updates thing kept on crashing on me doing the libraoffice install. I finally got it to fully install yesterday. Now i install the Additional software things like Java, and Virtual Box and everything else. But, when it comes to WINE it will do the install thing but then say "sorry wine will not install".

Is there something wrong that i am doing? Or should i just give up and finally just put 32bit on there? My own problem with that is that i wanted a computer i can put 64bit Linux Lite on it and get it to work. I been trying for two weeks before i finally made an account and researched the internet for this as well to see if anyone else was having a problem, but i guess i am the only one. Please help if you can with this issue. Thanks in advance.

Yes i did it through Install software. Like i said in 32bit i did not have this issue at all but in 64 bit i am.  And the second sentence i do not understand what your saying. Are you saying wine is also in Synaptic?

First of all Altman, i was installing it and it was taking a long time because we had some freezing rain mess with our internet and also i have a roommate who can't live without internet so he kept on unplugging it. However it was installing and it was almost done but those factors i mentioned messed it up. I am just going to run the install while heading to work.

Jerry, I did it the same way i did on the 32bit and went to install additional updates and everytime i try to do it, it says "Wine will not install" Also the Terminal crashes when i try to install the libraoffice stuff on install updates. Which i noticed that when i did it through synaptics that it was installing all the same stuff the terminal was trying to install. Maybe that is why WINE would not install maybe? Is there any reason why for the terminal to crash?
