Applications are available from many places - it depends on what you want to do.

Check the manual at

Start with Lite Software which can install over 30 commonly used applications.
Click Menu and type 'Lite Software' into the search box then follow the instructions.

If the application you want isn't in Lite Software, use Package Manager for many other applications in the normal repositories
Click Menu and type 'Package Manager' into the search box

If you want something that isn't available by either of those methods, the manual has instructions for other methods.
Caution is advised if you are downloading from outside the normal repositories. If you are on Linux Lite 7.0 and decide to use a PPA, ensure that the PPA offers a version compatible with 'Noble'
