Hi,
If I remember correctly,
this is part of the Ubuntu repository, which Linux Lite uses.
So it would be down to Ubuntu to update repository.
I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong. :-[

Yes your are probably correct. Rather than wait for Ubuntu or use a third party I downloaded and got COMODO working. Probably better off since COMODO actually does real time scanning and stops the virus before it can do any damage. Clam av on the other hand does not remove it, they only quarantine the virus and put it in a separate file then you have to remove it yourself. There are also more amenities and options for COMODO such as, level of protection, scheduled scanning days and times, mail SMTP etc. I`m comfortable with that maybe others might also be.

O.K on Comodo,
I looked at that, but it looked like it was not being supported any-more, apart from definition updates..??

Back to clam. I`ll have to wait or download from from their web sight. Having problems with COMODO on updating definitions. On further research your correct they are not supporting Linux which is probably why I am having problems with it. I have used it in other distros where I had no problems with it but for some reason I can`t seem to get it to work properly on Lite. Might take a close look at Avast while I am waiting for Clam to update.

Thanks for the link Jerry. I have seen a few of these both pro and con.
