Reformat and reinstall Linux Lite question
#1
During Linux Lite installation, do I need to install third-party software for graphics and Wi-Fi hardware and additional media formats? I am using UEFI secure boot and I am using Nvidia Quadro K620 graphics driver (proprietary, tested).
Or during Linux Lite installation, I do NOT need to install third-party software for graphics and Wi-Fi hardware and additional media formats? I am using UEFI secure boot and I am using Nvidia Quadro K620 graphics driver (proprietary, tested).

When I installed Linux Lite, it detected my Wi-Fi and graphics card without needing extra drivers.

You could certainly try...

I dont have an NVida to say one way or the other.. If you install without the 3rd party, if I recall correctly under "Install Drivers" "Additional Drivers" is where you may find an option to install those hardware drivers...

If the option is to install "Restricted Extras" (media formats) you can find these in "Lite Software"...

Another great thing about LL, you can easily reinstall (just reformat root) to confirm if either install yields better results.

If you decide to test either install - you can save some time by not installing updates during install...
