Intel Wireless AC7260 WiFi Card
#1
Hi all, I just upgraded my netbook to an AC card: Intel Wireless AC7260 WiFi Card, now I can get much faster download speeds then before with the stock 802.11n card.
It works great but, my WiFi light does not come on anymore since the upgrade. I installed updates also did sudo apt-get update then sudo apt-get upgrade and still the light is off.
I can try Intel directly but, not exactly sure if it will mess up my connection.  :-\  I'm running LL 3.4

I would leave well enough alone, you have great fast speed, just no light. Many people have issues with this chipset so you are well ahead of the pack here. A newer firmware may appear later down the line in updates.

Thank you Jerry your right.  I'll leave it alone it works great, I can always tell anyway if it's connected or not.  I went with Intel because, most of the reviews are positive. Only spent $10.70 USD on eBay Big Grin So  if anyone has a small netbook I would definitely upgrade to a SSD / 2GB RAM / and a new wireless AC card.

Thanks again.
