LL Calendar - events reminder

is there an add on to the existing day date calendar that you can ad reminders for specific times/days/ i.e something that pops up on the screen when you log on that day and flags up  an event or action etc.  Tks

According to the help page for the date/time plugin in the panel "orage" is a more advanced calendar, it might be worth a look. Orage can be installed from Install/Remove Software (Synaptic).

Haven't used it in a while, but can confirm that Orage will do what you're looking for.  Install as noted by avg.  Here is a link to info on how to use it: http://www.kolumbus.fi/~w408237/orage/or...c_4_7.html .
