Why gimp is not showing bottom information even when its opened in fullscreen?
#1
My issue is that I can't see the information of the content which is positioned in the bottom of the gimp window. Things like, size and the tools presset are hidden. I already tried to resize but it only resizes horizontally.

Hi!
I can only show you how it looks on my machine:

Your image is truncated. Make a screenshot of the entire desktop so we can understand what exactely is the problem.

My screenshot was in fullscreen mode. Here is how it behaves when is in windowed mode.
After seeing your screenshot I believe it's related to monitor dpi.

And I noticed that I'm not being able to maximize the window size by clicking the square icon at the right top corner.

I belive there is something wrong with the monitor resolution.
I have a HP 23" and the default resolution is 1920x1080 at 16:9.
On the other hand, I had this kind of trouble some years before, when video parameters were supposed to be given manually, at setup.

Can you change the resolution via Settings Manager - Display ?
I played a little with this when I bought the monitor, but it seems that setup found the best combination. I tried many of the available resoșutions and most of them, distorted the image or showed truncated images, like in this capture.
You might want to test some other setting, from the ones available in the ComboBox. It seems that the current one, is too low, for some reason. Or maybe the scaling factor is wrong (16:9, 4:3, etc.)
For me, works only the 16:9 factor, but lower resolutions clip the images and I need to move the windows up-down to see all the controls.
It looks to me that it's the same problem here.

Hope this will help you get rid of this annoyance...

Best regards! Smile
