Linuxlite 5: install issue-no wifi-stuck at updates/software step
#1
Hello All.

Looking for help with fresh install coming from a stable and happy system. I made back up of all required files and since deciding to go with upgrade to LL5, am now stuck.

I tried installing Ubuntu 20.04 and worked fine only it was slow for my hardware specs.

I have tried different usb sticks, fresh download of LL5 iso as well to no good result. Stuck at same stage. I tried to get 4.8 installed, it goes through with install, but, wifi (BCM4352 gets disabled).

Please assist to get LL5 installed.

Additional info:
Do not have lan input to use wired connection on lenovo yoga pro 3
Available, listed wifi driver unable to install without internet

Also have tried install driver manually via deb file, no change.

Thanks.

Hi!
Try to upload the screenshots somewhere else. The udrop server is down or whatever happened there, since I get Error 404.
From the text of the post, there's nothing I can understand.

Hi.
Thanks for reply. Sorry about the upload webpage.

I ended up getting a usb to lan dongle and while trying other OSs, stuck with Kubuntu 20.04.

It also had same issue, it was fixed by getting dkms package. That fixed wifi issue.

Closing thread, marked as solved.
