checked again the folders on desktop are empty!(properties = 4 items of18.8kbs!)
could they have been moved elsewhere and if so how do I find them, or will i have to load driver files again from cd supplied with usb thanks again Later today I went ahead and reloaded the files from disc, extracted files/ and opened the folder/ located install.sh/ opened terminal entered the code as above but still get/ command not found!

My thoughts too
but decided too give local repair shop a try as friend would just be at internet distance too! Will post what was wrong here after visit if i can, in case it is helpful to someone else Thanks for your patience .

[member=2]Jerry[/member] Been following this. Interesting to me that firmware-realtek is still in Debian backports while I could not find the package in multiverse. Is it named something else now or is realtek support only on git?

If you see Realtek in Github, it is usually hacked drivers to work better than the original.
