Cannot Locate .bin File for Uninstall
#1
Hello,
I wanted to uninstall two packages that came with my 3.8 Linux Lite OS.  When I use the Linux Software tool I get a message that it cannot locate .bin file but both packages are listed in my "installed" software listing.  The packages are Skype and Spotify.

I tried to use the command line to uninstall and I get a message that says cannot locate package "Spotify" or "Skype", same message.  I am using: sudo apt-get purge (package) as the command in terminal.

Any suggestions?

In synaptic right click the packages and mark for removal. Then click apply. Be careful of "complete" removal not to remove other packages that may be used by other resources. Synaptic should prompt you through the process safely.
