VLC crashes when I try to open a video
#1
Hi there,

I've got a dvd full of short films that I'm trying to view, but when I open them in VLC, it crashes. Any ideas? Here's what I get in the terminal:

Try a different video driver in VLC until one works, go through them all. You should also consider adding your Video Card to your Forum Profile.

Tools, Preferences, Video, Output.

Hi,
A bit late but if selecting different video drivers through VLC doesn't help, consider installing the proprietary driver for your graphics unit.

You also could try getting more information about what the problem is by entering the following in command line:
Code:
jounralctl -f
to quit journalctl enter:
CTRL c
