Hi Lads,
great news I have just used the quick and dirty and it worked.
So pleased after hours of frustration it finally works.
Thanks Wirezfree for the link to the Dirty fix
Quick update, when I tried it a second time I could not get it to work.
At least I have updated my board.

@Wirezfree: Yes, I have the same programmer. (Maybe two of them from different vendors, but one was not very convincing -either damaged or dead completely).

O.K, look's like the dirty fix only works once,
maybe that's why it's called Quick and Dirty Smile

Not to worry ,at least I got my kk2.1.5 board flashed with a better firmware.

I have got a windows 7 computer as well so may give it a go on that one.
