Hello I'm yrjo1!

My computer is old PC with one AMD Athlon XP processor. I used to have Linux Mint (Maya) 13 and Mate desktop, but what I didn't like about it was processor use being all the time around 95%. On Linux Lite it is only around 40%.
So I am very pleased on the processor usage and the nice outlook of Linux Lite.

Welcome, pleased to know cpu use is low enough for you. If you have any questions remember your free to post in the proper section. Have fun and stay Lite :-p

I primarily use Mint Xfce on my main computers, but have also found that LinuxLite seems to be slightly better than Mint on a couple of older computers I've setup.  Didn't have quite the same performance difference as you, but definitely enough of one to notice.  Similarly to Mint, LinuxLite is also very user friendly for newer linux users -- very good basic user instructions for beginners included with the install.  Think you'll be happy with LinuxLite.
