When you installed LL, did you test the system, eg run a few applications, create, save and reopen a file or two? Did you have permissions problems at that stage? If you *have* to do a clean install, then test first because I think your problem is created when you copy over your large data files, for some reason creating 'permissions hell'. Permissions can be changed recursively without the need to change for each file individually. I'm have no claim to be an expert, but like others, we are all trying to help but get the feeling I'm banging my head against a brick wall as you appear to have made up your mind that LL will not work for you. I see no other complaints that LL needs passwords for almost every action, unless you are working with system files/directories.

2) Medion P4 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, quite fast & stable
3) eeePC 901 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, fast & stable
4) eeePC 701 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, slower & stable but small and light enough to travel with me to New Zealand when visiting family in Blenheim.

Howdy. Can you list examples of files and their permissions required to access them?
fstab usually handles this instead of sudo.
I can access my files in /media with 2 different hard drives in My AntiX 14 RVa3 Test box as a user because of my /etc/fstab entries, hand made directories by me in /media, and the command =loosey goosey command so don't use it= "chown -r user:user /dev/sd?"
Probably would help your cause if you gave more details and less emotion.

I tried UserManager... nothing.
I tried changing files via terminal... still I see this damn prompt...
looking for help in internet... 99% mention solution that I already used.
Used what? I read a whole lot of nothing there. Just generalities. So like you said.

What are the file permissions on what irks you?
Modify: I always make a backup 1st of my original root file like fstab before making any edits on a root text file like fstab.
Same same with any other file in /.
2nd Modify: Since a picture is worth a thousand words.

Really sorry for late respond to this topic but I didnt had time.
I spend this another day to move data and I did clean install again (just to be sure) and without rush I setup everything again. And now, after editing sudoers I dont have this weird password prompt everytime when I use programs, because that was main problem.
I was really pissed of because when you are used to work fast such small thing is annoying like hell. But that is done. Now I have different problem but its not related to to this one so I will post it in separate topic.
So thx for help and sorry for that "nervy" tone that i had when i write it, but when you work and you encounter such problem you can be pissed off :]
