Cap lock turned on at boot up?
#1
I just loaded a copy of LL latest version to my friends Asus UL80V laptop and now when booted-up, the cap lock in always turned on preventing a log in unless he notices this and turns this off. How can he permanently  turn off CAP-LOC at boot up? BIOS or other?
Thank you.

Hi, Jerry!
The man wants to turn off caps lock: CAPS LOCK.
I use Lite Tweaks often and has nothing like "Turn On/Off Caps Lock".
You were refering to NumLock, which is another story.

However...
It happens sometimes to me to be in the situation to reboot, after using CapsLock and I've noticed the Linux Lite (or the login interface code) shows a message like "Your Caps Lock is turned ON".
So, if nothing can be changed, I guess this will be enough warning. You just need to pay attention to the login screen.
Also, look to the LED on the keyboard, which if Caps Lock is ON, is lit.
If this is enough, than good luck!  Smile
Or else...
Read this. It's a bit more complex, but might be the solution:

Best wishes!  Smile
