Here's something I don't understand; I can't copy a certain file from my USB drive to my second internal hard drive, but I've done this many times before with no problem. This is not the first time this has happened, and in this instance I solved it the same way I did before: I copied it with Double Commander, which had no trouble doing it. Presumably, I could have copied it in the terminal, too.
But what is causing this? AFAIK, the permissions on both disks are fine, but sometimes a file just won't let me drag it over to the hard drive. I can copy it to my system disk, though.
Sorry to bother you with such a tedious problem, but I haven't been able to figure this out on my own.
EDIT: Just had something similar happen, but this time I was trying to move a file from one directory on the second hard drive to another directory on the same drive. I was using the regular file manager, which normally does not cause me problems like this. It wouldn't let me do it, but I was able to do it from inside Double Commander. I checked and the permissions on the file said anybody could do anything with the file.
