Surface 2 - Installation Experience?
#1
I have a capable 32-bit Surface 2 tablet whose OS has been abandoned by Microsoft [Windows 8.1 RT]. Has anyone installed Linux Lite on this now-legacy Surface? It's got an excellent display (NVIDIA), 2 Gb RaM and i think an adequate chip.

Nobody will have installed Lite on a Surface 2 RT as that has an ARM processor and Lite has never (as far as I'm aware) been released for any ARM platform.

There may be other distros supporting ARM platforms that have been installed on these machines but you're going to have to do some searching to find out what was installed and how it was done.

Thank you all for your replies. The main issue is that I cannot get the device to boot from its USB drive. There is no UEFA available as far as I can tell; more recent Surface devices are USB-bootable. I've learnt my lesson regarding devices hard-wired to specific operating systems.
