Oi para todos,
É um prazer ser usuário do linux lite, aqui no forum eu estou dando os primeiros passos com o sistema operacional do Pinguim.
Abaixo, segue o link de um texto no qual relato o processo que me conduziu ao software aberto e gratuito.

Hi and Welcome!

This is one of the most helpful and friendlyest forum around so if you have any questions, you're at the right place! Well... technically you have to use the support sections, hehe Wink

Welcome.  If you're really on Linux Lite 4.0, consider using Lite Upgrade to bring your installation to Linux Lite 4.4.  I'm not in front of my computer right now, but I believe Lite Upgrade can be found using Menu->System->Lite Upgrade.

Thanks, Jocklad, TheDead and torreydale.

Yes, maybe I have to upgrade, but I am not sure if the notebook 32bits support the Linux lite 4.4.

Anyway, I appreciate the suggestions.

Bruno.

Hi,

Linux Lite 4.x and upward are 64bits only.
LL 3.8 is the last 32 bits and is still supported.

See you around the forums! Wink

ok, you're right,
Version 3.8 is the last one.
People who opt for linux lite usually have an old machine.
32bits should not be abandoned.
see you, Smile

Linux Lite 3.8 (hence 32 bits) is based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Long-Term-Support).
Which means it's supported until April 2021.
That's enough time for your empty-soda-cans/swear jar/other fund-raising to buy a 64 bits computer before the end-of-support Wink
Note: Over here, our schools do soda-can drives each year to get kids on trips, it's quite doable.

Yeah... I try to be eco-friendly too and using Linux Lite to prevent computers to end up in the trash helps. :-D
