I paid special attention to matching the blue on the panel to Windows Basic Theme, so it feels familiar to my wife. I borrowed the picture from another Linux.

I just happened to see this post. You have a very pleasant looking desktop. Tweaking it to familiar colors and general appearance of Windows for your wife was a great idea and very thoughtful. Great idea and very well done.
