hi, I'm new here as in the linux world. I installed latest version of Lite (32bits) from an usb, on my dell inspiron 1012 netbook(old and slow netbook that I think could revive with this OS) without any problem. After the instalation finished I quit the usb and Lite started as expected even with the wifi controller installed fine (that could have bring problems as I read on different website I checked before installing the OS). Then I applied the latest update just fine and when the update processes finish Lite ask me to restart the netbook. I did that and after that the OS stays stack in the Lite log and I couldn't log into the system again. I do not see any message, when restarting no matter which option choose from the lite boot menu, the OS does not start as expected. How can I check what is falling in order to search for a proper solution? Which keys should I press or menus should I choose to see a log or some message?
Thanks for any help,
Juan from

If hanging press ESC that should bypass the splash screen and show the boot process.
I have a Dell mini 10 believe its similar to your 1012, i run LL3.8 no problems.
You may be able to start with advanced options then choose the earliest kernel.
LL4.8 UEFI 64 bit ASUS E402W - AMD E2 (Quad) 1.5Ghz - 4GB - AMD Mullins Radeon R2
LL5.8 UEFI 64 bit Test UEFI Kangaroo (Mobile Desktop) - Atom X5-Z8500 1.44Ghz - 2GB - Intel HD Graphics
LL4.8 64 bit HP 6005- AMD Phenom II X2 - 8GB - AMD/ATI RS880 (HD4200)
LL3.8 32 bit Dell Inspiron Mini - Atom N270 1.6Ghz - 1GB - Intel Mobile 945GSE Express -- Shelved
BACK LL5.8 64 bit Dell Optiplex 160 (Thin) - Atom 230 1.6Ghz - 4GB-SiS 771/671 PCIE VGA - Print Server

UPDATE
I restarted the netbook and then selected "Advanced options for Linux Lite...". There I have a menu with several options, I choosed Linux 4.4.0-116-generic - recovery mode. Everythins seems to be ok and the recovery menu is shown.
After choosing the option to start normally it freezes in the following check:
[OK]Started Load/Save RF Kill Switch Status
