Errors is for PPA "shashlik", "t-tujikawa", "ekozincew"

If you not use this 3 anymore, see in the LL manual there are some instructions of removing PPA -

Don't know if the best thing to do is to attache it to this chain where the original posters problem with updating was solved, but I have an comparable problem. So perhaps it is related or can be solved with a few magic words only.

This morning I downloaded the current 32-bit ISO and used it to install to a pre-created partition on a multi-partition netbook (many trial distro's there). Did this from the livecd booted and after re-install LiteOS came up without a hesitation on that partition. So I followed the first instruction of the 3 instructions given at bootup (nice handhelding touch, no not nice: Super!). But I ran into a problem that not all repo's could be reached.

Looked over here, stumbled on this post and decided to see if I could solve it with the information provided here. So I started Synaptic instead of your fine tool because I have a "little" bit more experience with that standard Debian tool. Did a Reload, but got a different complaint there. It reads as follows:

The repository 'http://repo.linuxliteos.com/linuxlite xenial Release' does not have a Release file.Data from such a repository can't be authenticated and is therefore potentially dangerous to use.See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.Failed to fetch http://repo.linuxliteos.com/linuxlite/di...6/Packages  404  Not FoundSome index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Looks like it needs to be solved at the end of the LinuxLite repo's (security).

Thanks ! This other topic your pointed to and the change of the distro-version name from xenial to citrine for the current linux lite by editing those LinuxLite specific repo's solved it:
