Update error
#1
I've not updated for a week but when I tried to do so today I got the following message:

Install Updates Error log
===========================
Install Updates could not successfully download and install available updates.
Go to https://www.freecinema2022.gq/forums/ and paste the log below into a new or existing thread for assistance.

============ Log ===========

E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

I tried logging out and then backin again but got the same message.

Suggestions on how to tackle it would be much appreciated, thank you

Not yet - I thought I might need to get to the bottom of this first.

Upgrading should prevent this from happening again.

OK, Jerry, will do. Have just tried it again. It first crashed out on unpacking then, when I repeated it, produced a report saying the system was up-to-date, though the packages it referred to were different to the ones that prompted the error report I quoted at first. So it looks as though it has sorted itself out - oryou have by other actions on the repository which I saw you had flagged up. Thanks as ever for your prompt help. I'll mark this as solved.
