Hi I'm having issues booting any distribution I try on this little netbook I got from Aldi it boots installer but I cannot get past that the model number is e2228t
The name of the manufacture is medion

Thank you for your help it is running Windows 10 home so I don't think it has bitlocker and I'm trying to boot from a USB but I think I'm going to have to return it damn it was too good to be true for $300 but thank you to everyone has commented I hope you have a wonderful day or night

That is disappointing for me but thank you for replying now I know why doesn't work I wish more manufacturers would support Linux an give out Linux drivers

That you were able to boot an installer suggests it has a 64bit UEFI, but if you can't see the disk (e.g. eMMC) that's a problem. The example I heard of was a Unisurf which was determined to have the eMMC drive connected via an SDIO channel (if I recall correctly); such a drive might be expected in the ARM architecture (e.g. RaspberryPi) but not in the x86 architecture so the x86 kernels don't support this. It is possible if this sort of thing becomes more common that the necessary support could make its way into the x86 kernels, but until then such hardware is effectively unusable.
My suggestion would be to watch for machines that come with actual hard drives - these machines will have fairly standard SATA storage controllers and in nearly all cases you'll at least be able to replace the drive (preferably with an SSD) or remove it and do the installation via another machine if necessary.
