Firefox Not Remembering User and Pass Info
#1
Hello,
I usually save my user and password info for several sites and as of the last update, Firefox is not remembering either.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. What can I do to fix this?

Check Firefox's Password Manager setting:

Sorry for seeming stupid and preferring Linux - I just don't know any better.

Thanks!  I wonder how this default option changed?
I surely didn't go in and change it. Weird.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Ok, well, even though I changed the setting to remember logins, it is still making me log in
each and every time, though it is remembering the log in info. But still not remembering
website settings.

So, it remembers credentials now, which means you can use saved credentials in Firefox to login to your preferred sites, correct?

If I'm understanding right what you mean by "website settings" is the ability to remember specific site's configurations such as, for example, Linux Lite forum "Login and remember session forever" so that when the forum is visited you are automatically logged in...

If that's what you meant, maybe your Firefox browser is configured to delete cookies after closing it. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ena...references

... and Happy New Year as well!

It remembers the credentials, though I have to click on the log in prompt and select them and then log in.
As an example of the websites not remembering data ...

Like when I log in to YouTube, I usually shut the auto play feature off and find that I now have to do it
every time I log into YT along with other things that should be saved.

That's what I thought. So please check the cookies options as mentioned in my previous post.

Cheers!

just letting you know... got it fixed.

I have no clue WHY doing an update would change the browser prefs. Ridiculous.

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated!

That is odd I agree  :o

I'm really glad you were able to work it out. It shouldn't happen not I have personally experienced it but if it ever happens again, you now have the skills to go after it and make it right. You're awesome!
