i am running LL 2.6 [32 bit]on an old netbook that cannot run a 64 bit os.

Use Chromium from Lite Software it's almost identical to Chrome and will play flash. Don't run Chrome when they stop supporting it.

Hello!

What about Netflix?

Not that 32-bit machines play Netflix very well - if at all, mind you, but will have to see if I am able how to somehow patch WidevineCdm into Chromium. These machines are woefully inadequate to run the Firefox Netflix hack again...
