64 bit mqachine with a 32 bit network card
#1
I have an  amd64 with an athlon x2 processor  . my understanding is that it has a 32 bit network card so when I install Linux lite 4 every thing works but the net dose not make a connection

when I install the 32 bit version 3.8 Linux lite every thing works and the net work connection as well

Is their any thing I can do to get Linux lite 4 to work with a 32 bit network card ?

This did not work I think because the peripheral that is not working is the network card
so you can not download from the net . the out put of the commands in the link were

You'll have to get those files using another computer then. Then transfer them via USB stick to this pc, and install.

This did not work so if you are reading this looking for a solution this solution failed for me .

in addition I found the maker of the network card they had merged with a different company they said they had a file that would install drivers for Linux for their card I ran it and it did not solve the problem either . It worked fine in 3.8 but the same hardware will not work with 4 even with a 64 bit processor seem like Microsoft Linux lite  dose not want to support older machines . really no better maybe worse
