Problems Installing.. Hang after restart!

Hi there... I'm a windows user coming to Linux for the 1st time.. as I wanted to try something new and lite weight to run on one of my old laptops... I was able to get BunsenLabs working fine.. but found the usage to be hard to grasp.. so google told me that this is a good "distro" to use for windows users who are beginners and also runs well on low power systems.

• I downloaded the ISO fomr your website.
  
• I used "Win32DiskImager" to copy the ISO onto my USB stick
  
• It booted fine
  
• I loaded the application and had a play around.. seems ok and I liked the familiar feeling of it
  
• Clicked the Install Icon and followed the wizard
  
• The app asks me to "reboot"
  
• I remove the USB disk and roboot
  

So this is where the problems starts... it seems to be working.. but kinda not working. All I get is a blank screen after much hard drive thrashing, I even get a small "wait" kind of circle icon appear... and I tried pressing "enter" and "f4"... enter dosn't seem to do anything F4 shows some text, that says "press enter" and pressing that will go back to blank screen and I again see the "wait" cirle dot thing for a bit... if I leave it long enough eventually the screen goes dark apart form a small underscore in the top left hand corner. ENTER and F4 do not do anything now.

Any ideas?

Just an idea : Have you installed a 64-bits version on a 32_bits PC ?

This is also a small problem which happens quite often. Please tell if

a) You already have another Operating system installed in the same machine (Win, Mac, ...)

Or if not

b) When the boot screen seems to appear (the circle icon), please wait about 10 sec and then press CTRL+ALT+F2
    You should get access to console. Then please insert a USB stick and mount it from that console. But before that,

dmesg | tail -10 | grep sdb | grep Attached

    If that command does not output anything, then this becomes unfortunately
    a bit harder to explain and I suggest that you leave the system as it is, or send me
    a pm so that we can make sense about it.

    BUT, if the command made some output, then
    make sure that the USB is formatted first - or just command mkfs.vfat /dev/sdb1
    (and make sure you don't have anything important in that stick), since it will be formatted.

    Then mount the USB to /mnt. Command:

  Then:

dmesg > /mnt/dmesg.log

  Then shutdown Linux Lite:

sync; cd / ; umount /dev/sdb1; systemctl poweroff; exit

Then insert the USB stick to a working computer and send the dmesg.log -file here as an attachment
