Fresh install is not like live session
#1
Hi there !

I saw Linux Lite screenshots on the website, so I wanted to give a try because it looks awesome. When I start the live usb, it's just so nice ! But once the system is installed, it's a mess. I have to configure a new panel (and it's nothing like the one in live session), then I have to manually set the theme, the windows decoration theme, the icon theme... Well, it's like if there is all to do, and I can't even change the menu applet or the clock applet to look like in the live session.

I have / on sda and /home on sdb, could it be the problem ? I tried to perform another install but the problem is always the same (of course, I format the partitions every time to be sure there is nothing in my /home messing with the install). I tried again to perform another one in English (I am french so the two first times I used French as my language of choice), but still, same problem.

Is there any way to get the same environment that the live session ?

Thank you for any help Smile

Try everything on /sda only.

I will, but I'd prefer to use SDB cause it's a 1To hard drive, so I could store my documents, music, and videos in here. SDA is only 128Go.

[member=7662]mocca[/member]  You could install to /sda as Jerry says to see if everything looks like you want, then move /home to the other partition. The following link shows how it could be done:
