Returning to single boot system from Ubuntu/Linux Lite dual boot system
#1
Hello

I have a Dell Latitude E6500 laptop is currently set up as a dual boot system. The first Linux system is Ubuntu 16.04 and the second system is the current version of Linux Lite. The Ubuntu "side" of the system has developed issues. I would like to remove it and leave the Linux Lite "side" as the sole system. Can I use G Parted to delete the Ubuntu partition, then expand the current LL partition? If yes, I will have rebuild the GRUB boot-loader if I understand this correctly?
The partition table is as follows
Device    Boot    Start      End  Sectors  Size Id Type
/dev/sda1  *        2048 123411318 123409271 58.9G 83 Linux
/dev/sda2      123412478 234440703 111028226  53G  5 Extended
/dev/sda5      230348800 234440703  4091904    2G 82 Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/sda6      123412480 230348799 106936320  51G 83 Linux

/dev/sda1 is the Ubuntu "side"

Any input would be appreciated
Thanks
Mark
