Change Background colour page in LibreOffice Writer...?
#1
I don't usually make a habit of reminiscing on how it used to be with Windows OS & its software - that said, changing the background colour of the whole page, and saving that change, for an individual file in MS Word, was dead easy.

However, I find that when I set the background page colour in LibreOffice Writer, all my Writer files subsequently have that colour, rather than limiting the colour change to a specific file.

I can't find any simple intuitive way of doing the above in LibreOffice Writer.
Can someone give me a clue on how to do this ...

Many thanks.
64bit OS (32-bit on Samsung[i] netbook) installed in [i]Legacy mode on MBR-formatted SSDs (except pi which uses a micro SDHC card):
2017 - Raspberry pi 3B (4cores) ~ [email protected] - LibreElec, used for upgrading our Samsung TV (excellent for the task)
2012 - Lenovo G580 2689 (2cores; 4threads] ~ [email protected] - LL3.8/Win8.1 dual-boot (LL working smoothly)
2011 - Samsung NP-N145 Plus (1core; 2threads) ~ Intel Atom [email protected] - LL 3.8 32-bit (64-bit too 'laggy')
2008 - Asus X71Q (2cores) ~ Intel [email protected] - LL4.6/Win8.1 dual-boot, LL works fine with kernel 4.15
2007 - Dell Latitude D630 (2cores) ~ Intel [email protected] - LL4.6, works well with kernel 4.4; 4.15 doesn't work

Hi [member=458]m654321[/member]

In libreoffice is quite easy too:  right-click on the blank file and select "page", this will open a dialog window where you can set different styles including page background color. In your case go to page tab and use the drop-down menu.

EDIT: I just realized I might have misread your post since you're asking how to set a background color for one file only, right? Sorry, my bad.

Correct - can you delete the post as it doesn't apply & might just fog the issue ...

TO THE MODERATORS:
I put this post in software/tutorials unintentionally (my error), instead of in software/other - I'd really appreciate if you could transfer it as it's not a tutorial.
Many apologies for this.

Regards
Mike

I would if I could, but I don't think that's possible, is it? If you know how to please let me know cause I was searching around and can't find that option.  And sorry again for the inconvenience.
