Problems with LL3.6 updates
#1
Just installed LL3.6 64bit which runs ok, but can't update. I have made no changes apart from trying different repos with the same result. Also tried update from terminal, same error.
Help please  :'(

Hi [member=296]justme2[/member]
If you try to reach this link  on your browser http://repo.linuxliteos.com/linuxlite/di...4/Packages you'll notice its status is actually 404.

Remove that one form your sources.list and try to update again and see if that works.
Without each others help there ain't no hope for us Smile

Open /etc/apt/sources.list.d/linuxlite.list as Administrator and replace each instance of xenial with citrine.
Do the same with /etc/apt/sources.list.d/linuxlite.list.save

Thanks for your response, I realised that might be the problem but I could find no reference to that repo in any of the sources files.

Thanks yet again Jerry, updates now working ok.

As I have shared the iso with U3A members, can you help me to understand why this issue occurred with a fresh install? Did I download an outdated iso (I think it came from sourceforge). I might be subject to lots of 'tuts' at the next U3A meeting after convincing everyone that 'linux just works'  :-[

I must be sure of having the latest iso in future.

It's difficult to pinpoint exactly why this would have occurred. Glad it's sorted.
