Change disk partition owner/permission
#1
Hi all

I partitioned a disk drive after installing LL and i was unable to copy/paste into that partition so i followed the instructions here to be able to copy/paste https://itsfoss.com/set-write-permission...ntu-linux/

Although the above worked, i'm still unable to delete folders in that partition so my question is was the above tutorial the best way to go about it or is there a better way to do it? Are there any good tutorials on disk partitioning i can study for that matter?

Thanks in advance good folk of LL !

Hi Jerry

I checked the help manual and tried following the steps there without much success. I don't know if its because i have only one disk and the partition i wanted to change permissions for was being mounted at /mnt. I reinstalled LL on the whole disk and will keep it as such until i get a better understanding of how to about partitioning my disk.

Thanks for your reply.
