Just thought I'd introduce myself, I'm new to Linux. I haven't installed Linux Lite yet but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do that here after I finish posting this. I do have a network tethering question but if it's one thing I know it's not to throw a lot of different topics around in places they don't belong Lol so I'll just go to the networking section after here. Looking forward to meeting y'all and sharing tips n tricks. I'm a gamer too... not really PC gamer I mean I enjoyed the few games I've played I'm just used to controller vs KB/M.

Well, I'm not gonna ramble on I'm anxious to start my new journey!

Edit: Sorry about the profanity Lol

Hello kanqkhaos,

Welcome to the forum and Linux Lite Smile

My middle brother gave me a desktop with Vista on it, I installed Linux Lite on it.

There seem to be members who like gaming (I don't game), Linux has Steam for gaming, some members have also configured a controller to use for games on Linux Lite. LL also has joystick support. So you will not be limited to KB/M.

64bit OS (32-bit on Samsung[i] netbook) installed in [i]Legacy mode on MBR-formatted SSDs (except pi which uses a micro SDHC card):
2017 - Raspberry pi 3B (4cores) ~ [email protected] - LibreElec, used for upgrading our Samsung TV (excellent for the task)
2012 - Lenovo G580 2689 (2cores; 4threads] ~ [email protected] - LL3.8/Win8.1 dual-boot (LL working smoothly)
2011 - Samsung NP-N145 Plus (1core; 2threads) ~ Intel Atom [email protected] - LL 3.8 32-bit (64-bit too 'laggy')
2008 - Asus X71Q (2cores) ~ Intel [email protected] - LL4.6/Win8.1 dual-boot, LL works fine with kernel 4.15
2007 - Dell Latitude D630 (2cores) ~ Intel [email protected] - LL4.6, works well with kernel 4.4; 4.15 doesn't work
