Rookie mistake...or do I need a swapfile

In trying to leave dual-boot status and become LL-only, I made a live ISO with Systemback and reinstalled.
Only problem is it made no swapfile, tho the ZRAM does seem to be nearly enough. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Note: I tried to use GParted to add a small partition formatted swapfile, but it doesn't want to recognize the partition on boot.
Maybe there is a terminal command to get this recognized permanently? Or maybe there is a program that makes a dynamic
swapfile, should the need arise?

Since it appears you just installed using a Systemback created Live ISO, it would seem simpler to consider re-running that and remembering to create a swap partition as part of your setup.  In fact, you could even create a Live ISO of your current setup using Systemback, and use THAT to rebuild your computer.  Create 3 partitions (/, SWAP, and /home) in that order.  Make the / (ie. root) and /home partitions EXT4 primary partitions, and you could be done.  Backup your /home partition beforehand and restore afterwards, of course.

(I was wondering about the necessity of Swap, in the first place,
and noticed it is being discussed on ON TOPIC here, so I shall pay close attention to that.)
