Welcome to Linux Lite and the community! Beside having a look at the help manual you might want to check out Etcher to create an USB stick the easiest way. Hope that helps, have fun with LL

I use UNetbootin. You can download it from Sourceforge or it's home page. After you download copy it to your USB Stick. Make sure you have room for it and whatever else you will be putting on the stick. After the download open Unetbootin and follow directions.

Using a Windows OS, also Rufus:
https://rufus.akeo.ie/ NB: "Since version 1.3.2, Rufus support UEFI as well as GPT for installation media, meaning that it will allow you to install Windows 7, Windows 8 or Linux in full EFI mode."

I use it within my XP VM to create bootable USB sticks.
Upgrades WIP 2.6 to 2.8 - (6 X 2.6 to 2.8 completed on: 20/02/16 All O.K )
