I'm with these problems , someone could help


1 - Lite Software
Error: Updating sources has failed.

Refer to /var/log/lite-software.log

for more information.

2 - Install Updates
Erro:  Couldn't fetch the package cache information lists.

You need to follow the steps in the first post in that thread, use the 2 commands for a 32-bit operating system.
Open a Terminal and do the following:

First you paste in this line, hit enter, enter your password if asked etc.
Code:
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/google-chrome.list


Then paste in this line, hit enter etc.
Code:
sudo apt-get remove google-chrome-stable

It needs to be done even if you've never installed Google Chrome.
Updates should then work.

Close the terminal and try updating again. Menu/favourites/install updates

As Jocklad mentioned, try updating again and it should now work.
Just ignore the 'cannot remove' message.
