What's used for UI generation...
#1
Hi dev folks,

I was wondering, what's being used to generate the various UI stuff needed by LL ?

There are a number of UI generators and graphical asset creators like Qt, Vadiin, and Sketch. Probably a lot of others that are good but that I don't know about. This is an area that I'm interested in learning more about.

Anyway, I wanted to see what's being used and which ones seem to be the most popular. It's one thing to go to a website and read their info but it's another thing to talk to developers directly about which ones are the most popular so that's why I wanted to ask here.

Are all of you working on UI's or is just Shaggy the main person who is doing this ?

P.S. liked the work that was done on the control panel, thought it was really nice !

To put it simply, the Control Center UI is done in html+css. Nothing overly complicated... and alot more flexible for the time frame in which it was created. It still makes use of some "gtk" elements for window management and such. But short of that the "UI" is css. If you have any specific questions related to Control Center, Updater, or anything else I work on... feel free to ask away.
The Truth is out there.
Be sure to check the Manual out and always report Bugs or feature requests.
