I haven't got a clue on fixing this or why he did not post it himself on this forum. I am sure someone here will have the answer.  8)

Broadcom covers a lot of turf. Dell covers a lot of turf.

Guess what.

He never mentioned anything about what kind of laptop (model number so we could google it). Broadcom chip (so we could google it), anything that can help us assist as far as I can tell.

I know a MX-14 cd will have some kernel support for broadcom wireless.

MX-14.2 "Symbiosis" bugfix upgrade release available

Upgraded bugfix versions (pae and non-pae) of MX-14 are now available. This version has fixed some bugs found in MX-14.1.1 and Debian upstream.

    LibreOffice updated to 4.2.5version
    Google search engine bug fixed.
Toned down faulty hard drive error when installing.
    Image files open with mirage.
wl modules for broadcom wireless now on the cd image.
    updated documentation.

But from what posts I have been reading here. The Linux-Lite cd also comes with broadcom modules in a live session and only breaks after a upgrade or install. So not sure what to say.

I am sure it can be fixed using Linux Lite as he desires. He is on this forum too so I sent him a PM from this forum because I do not have a Google account. Maybe someone with a Google account can post under the video that this forum is where the answer can probably be found.  8)

He found his problem. He burned the wrong version to his USB. Sounds like something I would have done.

Coastie, a.k.a. Donator  ;D

Great result! Smile

...but a video of him slapping himself would have been fun! Smile

Re: Puppy Need's YOUR Help! - LinuxNoob - 10-10-2014

I think this may have happened to me as well when I tried Lite from a usb. Worked on a CD though. Hmmm.

If you're on Windows use http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/files/Archive/win32diskimager-v0.9-binary.zip/download if you're on linux, use dd. Both are recommended as stated in the Help Manual, Install Guide.

Re: Puppy Need's YOUR Help! - PuppyLinuxWorld - 10-11-2014

BTW

Someone sent me a link to the new 317 kernel on my main desktop, installed it and it busted my machine totally, not a problem cause I could boot using old kernel at boot screen, but a normal user would have been pissed, just so u all know. Would be nice to have a kernel install/upgrade utility in LL2.0.
