Wine - Alex - 10-07-2014 Please don't ask me why; but a while ago I uninstalled Wine. Now it wont re-install, not from "install additional software" or from the Synaptic PM. I even uninstalled it from the Synaptic PM first ( it was showing as being still there) and re-installed it but did not work. I don't get wine showing up in the Menu, if I search for it I get "Run wine" and clicking on this produces no result at all. What am I doing wrong? Thanks Re: Wine - Valtam - 10-07-2014 Open up a terminal and try: Code: sudo apt-get install wine1.7 If that does not work, paste the results in your next post. Re: Wine - Alex - 10-08-2014 It installed wine 1.7, but still not in the Menu (I can't take a screen shot as the menu disappears before that can be done) when I search for "wine" I get 'Run wine' in bold lettering but with no avatar also I get wine cfg; wine console and winemine but nothing else. thanks Re: Wine - Valtam - 10-08-2014 Have you performed any menu editing whatsoever since you first install LL? Menu>Accessories>Screenshot? Re: Wine - Scott(0) - 10-08-2014 Hi Alex, The Screenshot icon can easily be added to either the Desktop or Panel or both. Menu > All > Right-Click on Screenshot > Add to Desktop Menu > All > Right-Click on Screenshot > Add to Panel Hopefully that will help a little. ~Scott Re: Wine - anon222 - 10-08-2014 Hi alex, this will take an instant screenshot Code: xfce4-screenshooter -f Menu > Settings Keyboard > Application Shortcuts This way you will take a screenshot of the entire screen with a keyboard combination. Re: Wine - bitsnpcs - 10-08-2014 Hello Alex, I right click desktop and select screenshot. On the screenshot GUI it has options I tick "Active Window" , and increase the "Delay before Capturing" to 3 seconds. I then click OK and open the menu. Re: Wine - Alex - 10-08-2014 Thank you all: I don't remember if I did anything to the Menu editing, it's possible... Re: Wine - anon222 - 10-08-2014 winecfg opens the wine configuration. Is that what you need? |
