Re: Problem with LAN - shengchieh - 09-29-2014 You'll need to ask the elementary OS folks. See http://elementaryos.org/support If no luck, try asking in a "generic" linux forum. Go to my website (signature) -> forum and ask. Sorry, but this LL forum is the wrong place. Worst case try various liveCD and try something else. Sheng-Chieh Re: Problem with LAN - ohjrson - 10-12-2014 I concur with Sheng-Chieh. However, I can tell you that there is a known issue with Broadcom drivers in a lot of systems. There is a fix for them. you might have to look in your specific OS forum to find them though. I know here in Beryl, or LL 2.0, we have resolved a lot of them. I don't think anyone will have a problem with you having a look around to see if a fix it is here for you. Good luck ohjrson Re: Problem with LAN - N4RPS - 10-12-2014 Hello! The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth cards can be either Atheros OR Broadcom, but not both. Two different manufacturers. Although this forum is Linux Lite-specific, I'll help you no matter what distro you have. Did you verify the checksum on the ISO you downloaded to check for download errors? Elementary OS SHOULD have at LEAST detected your LAN card for you. Pull down the Linux Lite ISO, verify it, and give Linux Lite a try, and you SHOULD find that you can at LEAST pull updates over a LAN cable... 73 DE N4RPS Rob |
