Windows Boot Loader - XappA - 02-16-2022

Hi,

Im new to Linux and I used Linux lite as for its lightweight and have all what I need as a beginner. The only problem I have is that when the system updated, it messed up my windows bootloader and I cannot boot in Windows Anymore.

Is there are way to restore my windows bootloader? I tried to all the steps I can find on the internet but It does not seem to work.

Is there a step by step guide specifiic to Linux lite on accomplishing this.

Thanks in advance

[member=49590]XappA[/member] Not sure what's messed up... or how bad..

BUT
if you can boot into LL - running the command below will query installed OS's = it should add Windows to grub which you can use to boot to Windows..
Code:
sudo update-grub
Then when booting, in Grub, Arrow down and select Windows ...

For the Windows boot manager - it may be that you need to need to change the boot order, and add it as the 1st boot device ...
BUT if LL hasnt been added to the bootmanager you'll need to either change boot order back to where grub/ubuntu/?? or add LL to the Win boot manager --
You'll want to research BCD /BCDEDIT  on how to manipulate.
