Linux Lite 4.4 black screen with non-blinking underscore while booting - numaanshaikh - 05-01-2019
Hello. I'm new to linux and I've installed Linux Lite using usb stick. It installed perfectly without any error. However, whenever I boot up my laptop, after the loading animation the screen goes black and then another black screen with a underscore (or cursor idk) appears. The keyboard completely freezes. Nothing happens if I press windows key or ctrl+alt+f1 even the capslock led doesn't light up. I have tried removing 'quiet' word before splash from the grub file. This all happens before login screen. Please help.

Can you check your memory with memtest? You can run it from the install media before starting linux lite.
