problem saving updates - Searchernow - 04-02-2019 I tried to save Lite Updates, to its usual folder, but I kept getting Root as the location. when I selected Desktop, it also came up as root, with no option to navigate to the updates folder. I'm not sure if this is just since 2 days ago when I upgraded to 4.4, but it's certainly just in the last few days. As a comparison test, I've just done a random screenshot and saved it to a random selected folder without problems. Ps: I've just tried the same save Updates operation on a HP and it worked fine as usual. The above problem is on my Dell. Re: problem saving updates - Valtam - 04-02-2019 No problem here, straight to /home/jerry Re: problem saving updates - Valtam - 04-02-2019 In Timeshift, try rolling back to an earlier snapshot, then try it again. What's the output of: Code: id Re: problem saving updates - Searchernow - 04-03-2019 Thanks Jerry, before trying the Timeshift option, I tried Updates again here on Dell, and this time they saved ok, so I'll leave it at that. If it arises again I'll try Timeshift. |
