Numeric pad will not function as a numeric pad - LearninToFly - 07-12-2014 Since installing Linux lite the numeric pad has acted only as a mouse pointer. I have a HP keyboard on my Dell 4550, but the HP keyboard model number: KB-0630 is not listed the Settings/Keyboard/Keyboard model. It makes no difference if the Number Lock is on or off the number pad will not type a number, it will only use the arrow keys to move the cursor. Please help me to find the settings to change my numeric pad into a true numeric pad. Re: Numeric pad will not function as a numeric pad - Scott(0) - 07-13-2014 Hi LearninToFly. Is the Scroll-Lock key on? If so see if you can turn it off. It may be labelled ScrLk or something similar. Re: Numeric pad will not function as a numeric pad - LearninToFly - 07-13-2014 Scroll lock is not on as far as I can tell. The keyboard you have there looks exactly like mine. (Please tell me what your /system/keyboard/keyboard model setting is) Mine is set for a Dell SK-8125 at present. (trying to find a setting that was compatible) The reason for saying "as far as I can tell" is that the scroll lock light AND/OR button is not working. |
