Linux Lite 4.2 Beta update - Valtam - 09-19-2018 This build is progressing nicely. I've nearly completed the Beta ISO which I'll release either late September or early October. Lite Upgrade is finished and is undergoing testing. This release has a number of small changes, nothing terribly new. Think of it as 'refinement' and not a 'major upgrade'. There are some new wallpapers thanks to [member=5059]whateverthing[/member] and some minor tweaks here and there. Is the slow boot fixed on some computers? That has yet to be tested. I have done some 'under the hood' work on this, but of course, we need testing on real hardware on an array of different computer configs to know for sure. If you have any questions, please let me know. It can be an HP, it can be a Lenovo. Never seem to boot in less than a minute, even with deamons turned off in startup. Got just the Lenovo to test the LL 4.2 Beta on. Re: Linux Lite 4.2 Beta update - Irinnie - 09-19-2018 I've just installed 4.0 on my new HP laptop and it does take longer to boot than version 3 on my main PC (although that one has Core5 and this one only Pentium 4415U). Anyway, will see if the update will fix that. Glad to read it's not my hardware issue. Love the new terminal!
