I can remember getting laughed at for answering an "obvious" question with an unusual answer until it was explained... Prof: Here's a picture of a house. What color is the roof? Me: This side is green. Prof: Why did you say 'this side' is green? Me: I don't see the other side. Trained observers report only what they truly observe.
