USB Flash Drive removal notofication - Manuk - 01-15-2018

I was using Mint 18.3 with Xfce.  When right clicking on an installed USB flash drive while in Caja file manager and choosing eject, a large notification appears on the upper right hand corner of the monitor saying something like......'It is now safe to remove drive'

Would it be possible to add this feature to Lite?

Thanks

I already have that message for safe removal, on Linux Lite 3.6! Rightclick on device icon, select Eject Volume and notification appears.

Re: USB Flash Drive removal notification - Manuk - 01-16-2018

I tried using eject and unmount in both Caja and Thunar file managers.  I do get a notification but it flashes so fast that I can't read it.  I think we've all had this before whereas something works for one person but not the other.  Strange.

Thanks for taking the time.

PS - I do not have the "eject volume" option.

OK, there is a problem, I usually eject from a desktop icon which works fine BUT I tried from within the file manager, got a quick flash of a message on screen and 'holy smoke' LL3.6 crashed and would not reboot. I had to run a manual FSCK to restore. Not very encouraging and I dare not try it again from filemanager in case it totally borks my system. Will stick with ejecting flash stick from the desktop icon!
