LL performance - Powercat80 - 11-21-2017 I have installed LL on the device in my profile. It has an 80GB HDD that I partitioned 20 GB for LL. The other side is Windows 7. While I get better performance than Windows, it still is slower than I prefer. Is there any quick tuning that can be done in settings to improve this. I have virtually nothing else on this partition than LL, which includes the Libre software. I want to use for internet search and occasionally reviewing a Micro. Office file, but nothing of any size will be stored there. Any help? TIA Re: LL performance - MohamedKhaled - 11-21-2017 hi, i wonder how it lags on your 2 gig pc, mine is 1 gig and iam already running 64bit and i also have win7 , i believe that theres something wrong, hmmm your first bet will be to activate Zram , type lite tweak in the search bar and choose zram from the bottom of the list and click ok, hope it helps Re: LL performance - Powercat80 - 11-21-2017 Hmmm? I selected zRam and said '"yes" to configuring it on my device. I then got an "error" with no explanation. It then went back to Lite Tweaks. So I ran all the other available routines to clear cache, memory, repair etc. and then tried to re-run zRam and got the same error. Any ideas? Re: LL performance - TheDead - 11-21-2017 I'm pretty sure, the next post would be... "Can you tell us what the error message is please?" So I'm gonna post it before anyone else.. -TheDead Re: LL performance - MohamedKhaled - 12-04-2017 hi , iam facing this too , and it appears that he abandoned us so any way (11-21-2017, 11:24 PM)TheDead link Wrote: I'm pretty sure, the next post would be... "Can you tell us what the error message is please?"yep, the problem is it just shows ERROR and then normally exits , aw hopefully this will be fixed with installing LL3.8 Re: LL performance - TheDead - 12-08-2017 Just an idea but do you have a swap partition, is it activated and bigger than the total RAM? Another idea since I just had a weird problem on an unrelated system... your LL is in english or another language? Cheers! |
